Dark. Dark and inky in the glass which immediately tells a bit of a story about the intensity of this wine. The nose is pretty but no shrinking violet – though it does smell a bit like violets. Violets and plums with just enough oak to add a further dimension. The wine’s impossibly soft, juicy, silky and seamless. It’s rich, it’s round, it’s long, it’s velvety. It’s really, really delightful. It’s delicious. Clare Valley.
